Springwood Presbyterian Churches are seeking to employ a one day per week youth and kids worker to oversee our youth group and support the resourcing of our childrens’ ministries.

Job Title: Youth and Childrens’ worker (1 day per week)

Location: Springwood and Winmalee, Blue Mountains, NSW

Remuneration: Pastoral Assistant salary

Start date: February 1st, 2025

Position

We are seeking to employ a one day per week (7 hours) youth and childrens’ worker to serve our church communities. The successful applicant would work under the guidance of the church minister. The role would involve overseeing a Friday afternoon youth group during school terms and collating resources for our childrens’ ministries for use on a Sunday.

Responsibilities include

• Overseeing and leading our Friday afternoon youth group
• Drawing together and distributing kids’ church materials for Sunday ministries that match with the preaching series
• Liaising with those working in such ministries to determine the most appropriate resources

• Is organised and able to meet weekly deadlines
• Has experience and skills in working with children and youth
• Able to work independently
• Is comfortable leading a team and receiving input from others
