Psalms

The 150 psalms are Israel's songs of remembrance, celebration and lament. They became the prayers of Messiah Jesus, and for all of us who walk in the way of Jesus they are now profound prayers for daily life, with all of its joys and struggles.

Psalm 15 is concerned with the question, ‘who can live in God’s presence?’. The Psalm takes us on a descending journey from the temple/tabernacle down the slopes of Mount Zion and into the streets of Jerusalem. The psalm surprises us as we find that God’s presence has not remained locked in the temple, but also dwells in the streets of Jerusalem in the everyday of life. This Psalm ultimately reminds us that God descends from the mountain-top to dwell with us and that life in his presence involves all-of-life worship.
